Administration
• Oral Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan) can be taken with a full glass of water, with or without food.
• Take Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan) at around the same time every day and take exactly as directed.

Fluconazole 200mg as a single dose for 2 weeks

• For Oral Thrush
Fluconazole 200mg as a single dose for 2 weeks

• For Candidemia
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose followed by Fluconazole 200mg once a day for 4 to 6 weeks

• For Fungal Pneumonia
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose followed by Fluconazole 200mg once a day for 4 to 6 weeks

• For Esophageal Candidiasis
Fluconazole 200mg as a single dose for 5 weeks

• For Candida Urinary Tract Infection
Fluconazole 200mg as a single dose for 2 weeks

• For Fungal Peritonitis

• For Cryptococcal Meningitis -- Immunocompetent Host

Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose once a day for 12 months for patients with AIDS
Fluconazole 200mg x 4 as a single dose once a day for 12 months for patients with AIDS

• For Coccidioidomycosis
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose once a day for 12 months and lifetime anti fungal therapy for HIV positive or AIDS patients

• For Cryptococcosis
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose once a day for 8 weeks to 12 months and lifetime anti fungal therapy for HIV positive or AIDS patients

• For Histoplasmosis
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as a single dose once a day for 6 to 12 months for patients without meningitis or endocarditis
Fluconazole 200mg x 4 as a single dose once a day for 6 to 12 months for patients without meningitis or endocarditis

• For Chronic Mucocutaneous Candidiasis
Fluconazole 200mg once a day for 7 days

• For Blastomycosis
Fluconazole 200mg x 2 as single dose once a day for 6 months
Fluconazole 200mg x 4 as a single dose once a day for 6 months

• For Onychomycosis – Fingernail
Fluconazole 200mg twice a week for 3 to 6 months

• Onychomycosis -- Toenail
Fluconazole 200mg twice a week for 6 to 12 months

You should not use fluconazole if you are also taking cisapride (Propulsid).
