Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) is effective in treating yeast infections of the mouth, throat, and esophagus, vaginal yeast infections and meningitis (infection of the membranes covering the brain and spine), • Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) is also effective in treating fungal urinary tract infections; pneumonia caused by yeast; and fungal infections throughout the whole body and in the blood.
• Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) is also used to prevent fungal infections from occurring in people with suppressed immune systems such as cancer chemotherapy patients, organ transplant patients, and AIDS patients.

Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• You can usually experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach upset/pain, headache, dizziness, or hair loss upon taking Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®).
• Notify your doctor if any of the effects persist or worsen.
• Do not take Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) if you have hypersensitivity reaction to the active ingredient.

Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) Dosage and Administration

• The usual dose of Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) is 200mg once a day with or without food, or as directed by your doctor.
• Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.
• Follow all directions given to you by your doctor and pharmacist carefully. They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet.

• Continue Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) until you finish the pack or until your doctor recommends.
• The length of time you take Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) will depend on the sort of infection you have.
• Patients with a weakened immune system or those with difficult infections may need long-term treatment of Fluconazole (Generic Diflucan®) to prevent the infection from returning.
