Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

This is effective in treating yeast infections of the mouth, throat, and esophagus, vaginal yeast infections; meningitis (infection of the membranes covering the brain and spine), fungal urinary tract infections; pneumonia caused by yeast; and fungal infections throughout the whole body and in the blood. This is also used to prevent fungal infections from occurring in people with suppressed immune systems such as cancer chemotherapy patients, organ transplant patients, and AIDS patients.


Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

You can usually experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach upset/pain, headache, dizziness, or hair loss upon taking this medication. Notify your doctor if any of the effects persist or worsen. Do not take if you have hypersensitivity reaction to the active ingredient.


Dosage and Administration

The usual dose is 150mg once a day with or without food, or as directed by your doctor. Dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy. Follow all directions given to you by your doctor and pharmacist carefully. They may differ from the information contained in this leaflet.



Important

Continue until you finish the pack or until your doctor recommends. The length of time you take will depend on the sort of infection you have. Patients with a weakened immune system or those with difficult infections may need long-term treatment to prevent the infection from returning.
