Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) or any other medications.
• Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist your medical history, what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
• Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) may cause fluid retention (a condition where the body keeps excess fluid) that may lead to or worsen congestive heart failure (condition in which the heart is unable to pump enough blood to the other parts of the body).
• Also tell your doctor if you were born with a heart defect and liver disease.
• Avoid drinking alcohol with Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®), alcohol lowers blood sugar and may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
• Talk to your doctor about any side effect of Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) Dosage and Administration

• Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) is usually taken once or twice daily with or without meals.
• Take Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) at about the same time(s) every day and take exactly as directed.
• Do not take Rosiglitazone (Generic Avandia®) more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
