• Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) is used by people who suffer from allergic symptoms such as sneezing, itchy nose (allergic rhinitis) and itchy eyes.
• Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) also has been used to treat hives.


Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) or any other medications.
• Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
• If you are taking Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) to treat hives, and you develop any of the following symptoms, get emergency medical help right away: difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing; swelling in and around the mouth or swelling of the tongue; wheezing; drooling; dizziness; or loss of consciousness.
• Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) occasionally can cause sleepiness.
• Avoid drinking alcoholic beverages while taking Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®).


Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) Dosage and Administration

• Adult and Child +12 years: 1 tab once daily.
• 6-11years: ½ tab twice a day or 1 tab once daily.
• Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) can be taken once a day with or without food.
• Take Cetirizine (Generic Zyrtec®, Generic Reactine®) at around the same time every day and take exactly as directed.
• Do not take more or less or take more often than directed on the package label or as recommended by your doctor.
