• Ramipril (Generic Altace®) is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure.
• Ramipril (Generic Altace®) is also used to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients at risk for these problems and to improve survival in patients with heart failure after a heart attack.
• To be sure Ramipril (Generic Altace®) is helping your condition; your blood pressure will need to be checked on a regular basis.
• Your kidney or liver function may also need to be tested.
• Do not miss any scheduled visits to your doctor.

Ramipril (Generic Altace®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Ramipril (Generic Altace®) or any other medications.
• Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
• Ramipril (Generic Altace®) can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions.
• Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert.

• Ramipril (Generic Altace®) is usually taken once or twice a day with or without food with a full glass of water.
• To help you remember to take Ramipril (Generic Altace®), take it around the same time every day and take exactly as directed.
• Do not take Ramipril (Generic Altace®) more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
