Administration
• Omeprazole (Generic Prilosec) can be taken with water, with or without food for 10 to 14 days.
• Take Omeprazole (Generic Prilosec) at around the same time every day and take exactly as directed.

Recommended dosage of Omeprazole (Generic Prilosec):

• For Duodenal Ulcer
Omeprazole 20mg once per day for 4 to 8 weeks as directed

• For Helicobacter pylori Infection
Omeprazole 40mg Cap or Omeprazole 40mg Tab once per day for 2 weeks with Amoxicillin 500mg x 2 as a single dose; then Omeprazole 20mg once a day in the morning on days 15 to 28th and continue Omeprazole 20 mg once a day for an additional 18 days as directed

• For Gastric Ulcer
Omeprazole 40mg Cap or Omeprazole 40mg Tab once per day for 4 to 8 weeks as directed

• For Erosive Esophagitis
Omeprazole 20mg once per day increasing to Omeprazole 40mg Cap or Omeprazole 40mg Tab for up to 12 months as maintenance therapy as directed

• For Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome
(1) Omeprazole 20mg and (1) Omeprazole 40mg Cap or (1) Omeprazole 40mg Tab as a single dose once up to twice per day as directed

• For Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
Omeprazole 20mg once per day for 4 to 8 weeks as directed
Omeprazole 40mg Cap or (1) Omeprazole 40mg Tab once per day as directed

• For Multiple Endocrine Adenomas
(1) Omeprazole 20mg and (1) Omeprazole 40mg Cap or (1) Omeprazole 40mg Tab as a single dose once up to twice per day as directed

• For Systemic Mastocytosis
(2) Omeprazole 20mg and (1) Omeprazole 40mg Cap or (1) Omeprazole 40mg Tab as a single dose once per day as directed

• For Dyspepsia
Omeprazole 20mg once per day for 14 days as directed
