Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints).
• Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) is also used to relieve the pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (a type of arthritis that affects children) in children 2 years of age.
• Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) is also used to relieve cancer pain.

Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke.
• Do not use Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).
• Stop taking Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) and seek medical attention or call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects appear such as hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, black, bloody, or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; or bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness.
• Do not drink alcohol; alcohol can increase the risk of stomach bleeding whilst on Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®).

Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) Dosage and Administration

• Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) is usually taken once a day with or without food.
• Take Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) at the same time every day.
• The maximum Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) daily for adults is 15 milligrams (mg) per day.

Important

• Continue taking Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) even if you feel well.
• Don’t stop Meloxicam (Generic Mobic®) without talking to your doctor.
