Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition in which backward flow of acid from the stomach causes heartburn and injury of the food pipe (esophagus).
• Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) is also used to treat conditions where the stomach produces too much acid, such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) may cause side effects.
• Do not take Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) if you are allergic to it.
• Before you start, tell your doctor if you are allergic to any medications.
• Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away whilst on Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) such as diarrhea, headache, stomach pain gas, and bloating.
• Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) may cause other side effects.
• Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems.
• Talk to your doctor about any side effect of Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) Dosage and Administration

• Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) is usually taken once or twice a day with or without food.
• To help you remember to take Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®), take it around the same time every day.

• Do not take Pantoprazole (Generic Protonix®) in larger amounts, or take it for longer than recommended by your doctor.
