Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) is available as 120mg tablets to be taken once daily or as directed by you doctor.
• Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and therefore cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood) in people whose diabetes cannot be controlled by diet and exercise alone.
• Do not use Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) if you are allergic to it, if you have type 1 diabetes, or if you are in a state of diabetic ketoacidosis (call your doctor for treatment with insulin).
• Before taking Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®), tell your doctor if you are allergic to any medications, or if you have liver disease or gout.

Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects such as seizure (convulsions); or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
• Avoid drinking alcohol whilst on Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®). It lowers blood sugar and may interfere with Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) diabetes treatment.
• Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) may cause changes in your blood sugar.
• You should know the symptoms of low and high blood sugar and what to do if you have these symptoms.

Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) Dosage and Administration

• Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) is usually taken three times daily.
• Take Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) any time from 30 minutes before a meal to just before the meal with a full glass of water.
• If you skip a meal, you need to skip the dose of Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®).
• If you add a meal, add a dose of Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®).
• Take Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) exactly as directed.
• Do not take Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) more or less of it or take it more often than directed by the package label or prescribed by your doctor.
• Your doctor may gradually increase your dose, depending on your response to Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®).
• Monitor your blood glucose closely.

Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) Important

• Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) controls diabetes but does not cure it.
• Continue taking Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) even if you feel well.
• Do not stop taking Nateglinide (Generic Starlix®) without talking with your doctor.
