Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) Dosage and Administration

• Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) is usually taken once or twice a day.
• To help you remember to take, take Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) around the same time every day and take exactly as directed. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Important

• Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) controls high blood pressure and angina but does not cure them.
• Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) may take 1-2 weeks before you feel the full benefit and do continue taking Atenolol (Generic Tenormin®) even if you feel well.
• Do not stop without talking to your doctor. Stopping suddenly may make your condition worse.
