Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®)is used to relieve the allergy symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis ('hay fever'), including runny nose; sneezing; red, itchy, or watery eyes; or itching of the nose, throat, or roof of the mouth in adults and children 2 years of age and older.
• Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) is also used to relieve symptoms of urticaria (hives; red, itchy raised areas of the skin), including itching and rash in adults and children 6 months of age and older.

Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) or any other medications.
• Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist the other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
• Stop using Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) and get emergency medical help if you think you have used too much, or if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.


Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) Dosage and Administration

• Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) is usually taken with water once or twice a day.
• Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) will work better if it is not taken with fruit juices such as orange, grapefruit, or apple juice.
• Take Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) at around the same time(s) every day and exactly as directed.
• Do not take Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.
• Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and take Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) at your next regularly scheduled time.
• Do not take extra Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) to make up the missed dose.




Important

• Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) controls the symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis and urticaria but does not cure these conditions.
• Continue taking Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) even if you feel well and are not experiencing these symptoms.
• If you wait too long between Fexofenadine (Generic Allegra®) doses, your symptoms may become worse.
