Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) is used to treat erectile dysfunction (impotence; inability to get or keep an erection) in men.
• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) is also used to improve the ability to exercise in people with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH; high blood pressure in the vessels carrying blood to the lungs, causing shortness of breath, dizziness, and tiredness).

Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

• If you become dizzy or nauseated, or have pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw during sexual activity, stop Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) and call your doctor right away. You could be having a serious side effect of Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®).
• Stop using Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) and get emergency medical help if you have sudden vision loss.
• Get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of a Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.
• Sexual activity may be a strain on your heart, especially if you have heart disease.
• If you experience chest pain, dizziness, or nausea during sexual activity, call your doctor immediately and avoid sexual activity until your doctor tells you otherwise.
• Avoid drinking alcohol, which can increase some of the side effects of Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®).

Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Dosage and Administration

• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Gel Sachets are designed to be dissolved in the mouth, not swallowed. The effect is quicker than with normal tablets, usually within 15 minutes.
• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Soft Tablets. This is designed to be dissolved in the mouth, take this as needed 15mins before sexual activity.
• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) Tablets. If you are taking this to treat erectile dysfunction, take it as needed before sexual activity.
• The best time to take Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) is about 1 hour before sexual activity, but you can take Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) any time from 4 hours to 30 minutes before sexual activity.
• If to treat PAH, you will probably take Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) three times a day with or without food.
• Take Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) at around the same times every day, and space your doses about 4 to 6 hours apart.

Important

• Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) can help you have an erection when sexual stimulation occurs.
• An erection will not occur just by taking Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) pill or Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) gel.
• Follow your doctor's instructions.
• If you are taking Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) for PAH, you should know that Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) controls PAH but does not cure it.
• Continue Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) for PAH even if you feel well. Do not stop Sildenafil (Generic Viagra®) without talking to your doctor.
