Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

This is used to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by osteoarthritis (arthritis caused by a breakdown of the lining of the joints) and rheumatoid arthritis (arthritis caused by swelling of the lining of the joints). It is also used to relieve the pain, tenderness, swelling, and stiffness caused by juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (a type of arthritis that affects children) in children 2 years of age and older.

Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

This can increase your risk of life-threatening heart or circulation problems, including heart attack or stroke. Do not use this just before or after having heart bypass surgery (also called coronary artery bypass graft, or CABG).Stop taking and seek medical attention or call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects appear such as hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, black, bloody, or tarry stools, coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; fever, sore throat, and headache with a severe blistering, peeling, and red skin rash; or bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness. Do not drink alcohol; alcohol can increase the risk of stomach bleeding.

Dosage and Administration

This is usually taken once a day with or without food. Take it at the same time every day. The maximum amount of the med for adults is 15 milligrams (mg) per day.
