Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). This is sometimes used to treat congestive heart failure.

Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to it or any other medications. Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist your medical history, what other prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. Do not take if you are pregnant or breast-feeding. If you become pregnant, call your doctor immediately. Avoid alcoholic drink. Seek emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine.

Dosage and Administration

It is usually taken once or twice a day. To help you remember to take, take it around the same time every day and take it exactly as directed. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

Important

This controls high blood pressure but does not cure it. Continue taking even if you feel well and don’t stop without talking to your doctor.
