Usage, Directions, Indication and Instructions

This is used to induce ovulation (egg production) in women who do not produce ova (eggs) but wish to become pregnant (infertility). This is also sometimes used to treat male infertility, menstrual abnormalities, fibrocystic breasts, and persistent breast milk production.

Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning

Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to it or any other medications. Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist what other prescription and non-prescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. This may make it hazardous to drive or operate machinery, particularly under conditions of variable lighting. If you get visual symptoms you should tell your doctor. Your treatment will need to be stopped and you should have an eye examination. This may cause side effects, tell your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or do not go away: flushing (feeling of warmth) upset stomach vomiting breast discomfort headache abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Dosage and Administration

First Course: 1 tab (50mg) daily for 5 days starting on the fifth of the cycle.
Begin second course if first course failed: 2 tabs, (100mg) given in single dose daily for 5 days.
Maximum dose is 750mg per cycle.
Postpill Amenorrhea: 50mg per day
To help you remember to take it, take it around the same time every day and take it exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Important

This medicine should not be used for more than 6 cycles of therapy, as prolonged use may increase the risk of ovarian cancer.
