Do not take Oral Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) alone or with a progestin to prevent heart disease, heart attacks, strokes, or dementia and only take the lowest dose that controls your symptoms and only take as long as needed.
Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) Adverse Reactions, Precautions and Warning
• Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) or any other medications.
• Do not forget to tell your doctor and pharmacist your medical history, the other prescription and non-prescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take.
• Notify your doctor immediately if effects persist and worsen like: breast pain or tenderness, upset stomach, vomiting, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, gas, weight gain or loss, leg cramps, nervousness, depression, dizziness, burning or tingling in the arms or legs, tight muscles, hair loss, unwanted hair growth, spotty darkening of the skin on the face, difficulty wearing contact lenses, swelling, redness, burning, itching, or irritation of the vagina, vaginal discharge and change in sexual desire cold symptoms.
• Using estrogens like Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®), with or without progestins, may increase your chance of getting heart attacks, strokes, breast cancer, and blood clots.

Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) Dosage and Administration
• Oral Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) is usually taken with or without food once a day.
• Topical Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) is usually applied according to a rotating schedule that alternates several weeks when the cream is applied every day with one week when the cream is not applied.
• When Oral Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) is used to relieve the symptoms of cancer, it is usually taken three times a day.
• Take Oral Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) and apply topical Conjugated Estrogen (Generic Premarin®) at around the same time(s) every day.
• Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand.
